We all know that sweating is good for our health, as the more we’re sweating, then more toxins will be ridding off from our body!

For those that didn’t love the taste of horseradish, you should consider to think it twice, as it’s one of the best foods that can help to induce sweating.

One tablespoon of horseradish containing these following nutrients:

6 calories;
1.4 grams of carbohydrates;
5 milligrams of phosphorus;
9 milligrams of calcium;
14 milligrams of sodium;
44 milligrams of potassium; and
Zero fat!

I’ve suggestion and you can try it out if you dare! First of all, you can take a tablespoon of creamed horseradish and mix it with a tablespoon of manuka honey. Then, pour 500ml of warm water on it and drink it! I’ve practiced this every time I have a fever, and it does help me sweat like a horse and recover in the speed of light.

For those of you that love to have a hot shower in the early morning, you’ll feel more energetic and refresh throughout the day. During the hot summer, most people love to have icy cold drinks and cold shower bath. They think by doing this way, it will keep themselves cool down instantly! Well, they’re probably right in the very first place, but the truth is it only works temporarily, where your body temperature will be soon rising up again (Maybe you’ll feel even hotter than before).

The reason why you shouldn’t bath yourself with extremely cold water, either in the early morning or at the middle of night, as the cold water will make all your blood vessels constrict. When this situation happening, the blood circulation is being slowed down and the transpiration process is becoming harder. As a result, you’ll feel extremely hot in the soon after you’ve the cold icy drink or bathe!

For your information, I’m a diabetic since 5 years ago and the life as a diabetic is slightly different than the normal healthy people. I’ve to take care of my daily meals, do exercises regularly and keep my blood sugar maintain on an optimal level every day. Trust me, the life as a diabetic isn’t easy at all, so remember not to overtake the sugar or you’ll be suffering the consequences of having this stubborn illness!

One of the common problems of the diabetics is the poor blood circulation, where the arteries is often situated in a narrowing condition and it leads to significantly decreased circulation in the lower part of the legs and the feet. Poor circulation can reduce the oxygen and nutrition being supplied to our legs and feet. When we’re involving in any small injuries, the chance for the legs or feet to recover from the wounds is very low. As a result, we might probably need to lose our legs/feet, when the wound is starting to infect and becoming leg ulcers/feet ulcers!

In order to avoid this situation from happening on me, I’ve started to practice foot massage 4 years ago and now I even get myself involved in the hot water therapy! What is good about the hot water therapy is it claims to use 120 degrees Fahrenheit water to help improve our blood circulation for the feet.

Beside that, I’ve also tried the warm water treatment, where it’s about 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 degrees Celsius. It says that it can improve the blood circulation, metabolism, decrease stiffness and lessen the muscles pains!

Honestly, after I’ve used the hot water therapy method for over six months, I started to feel much better than before. For those that having the same disease likes me or you just want to have a healthier lifestyle, then you should try this out.

Those preserved bacon sound like a temptation to you? Ok, if you’re in love with all those preserved or salted poultry, you should be careful about the salt-tolerant bacteria!

For your information, most of the salted foods contain “Samonella sp.” where these bacteria can only be destroyed in boiling water! Therefore, always cook your bacon or any other preserved poultry and don’t eat it raw.

And, some of the specialized bacteria living at low temperatures, such as the halophilic bacteria can survive up to 11 weeks in 16 degree Celsius. Even the permafrost foods need to be cooked carefully to avoid any unnecessary poisonous accidents.

Your Toes Deserve The Pamper From You!

February 21st 2009 09:00
If you’re a supporter of Darwin, “The Origin of Species”, you must agree that human beings are evolved from the primates in million years ago (Don’t ask me whether it’s true or not, as I don’t even existed in that moment! lol). During the evolution, human beings are successfully evolved from four foots creature into nowadays two foots standing living life form!

No matter this theory is true or not, but here is a fact: Human beings did use two foot to walk, run, jump and do anything in their daily life! Thus, could you ever imagine the life that being born as a handicapped without a pair of legs? It’s surely a very painful and torturing situation to be sure.

We’re always massage our body, but have you ever spend some time to take a good care on your toes? Well, you might think I’m a crazy person, but I have something need to tell you about our toes…

Do you know that our legs, feet and toes supporting almost 90% of our upper body mass? Hence, without the toes, you won’t be able to stand straight on the floor! By the way, each of the toe has own different name, which as:

1. Hallux (Big toe);
2. Index toe;
3. Middle toe;
4. Fourth toe; and
5. Little toe (It known as the “Pinky toe” or “Baby toe” too!).

If you have the job as the salesman/saleswoman, you’ll probably need to walk miles per day, in order to get your products sold (Trust me, I’ve been this situation before, and I know the pain!).

After a long walking day, you should let your feet and toes to be relaxed. In this case, the toe stretchers will be the most suitable helper, where it can help your toes to become stronger, straighter and healthier than ever before. All you have to do is slip your toes inside it and it will increase your toes blood circulation and relieve all those stress instantly!

If you’ve been tortured by the cartilage misalignment for over years, then this incredible toe stretchers can be used to correct the dislocated cartilage into the right place. Believe it or not, by spending only 10 minutes per day with the toes stretchers, you’ll have a better night sleep than before!

If you want to have healthy toes, then you have to spend a few minutes per day doing some toes exercise. Like the old saying, “Prevent its better than cure!’.

It’s nothing better to have a hot sauna, after a long day work, isn’t it? However, due to the building cost, not everyone can afford to have a sauna room in their home.

Jordan, a friend of mine who have migrated to Helsinki, Finland 3 years ago had made a long distance call on yesterday night! Honestly, I was quite of shock, as I didn’t hear about him since he has moved away from the country. During the long distance conversation, we’ve talked about many things, include the differences of the Scandinavian cultures with other.

Here’s one of the interesting fact about those people that living at Scandinavian’s countries: Each household will have at least one sauna room! The Scandinavians love to spend a lot of time in the sauna room. According to Jordan, the wooden classic Scandinavian Sauna is the most familiar sauna design in the Scandinavian area.

By the way, the word, “Sauna” was derived from the ancient Finnish word, which it refers to the “traditional Finnish bath”. The air temperature inside a sauna room is around 70 to 80 degrees Celsius and it sometime can reach up to 90 degrees Celsius (For those that cannot withstand with the hot temperature, it’s better for you to stand far away from it, or you might be fainted in the sauna room!).

Beside that, Jordan also told me that there is a new technology called, “Far infrared therapy” and it starting to gain its popularity in the Scandinavian recently.

Well, I haven’t hear of this before, so I let him to explain it to me further. He said that the far infrared therapy is a new therapy, where it uses the infrared waves that can easily penetrate into our skin. When our skin is contacting with the infrared heat energy, all of the skin tissues are safely heated, the blood vessels are dilated and it enhances the blood circulation!

Unlike the traditional Finnish Saunas, the infrared therapy doesn’t use any steam, but it has been substituted with infrared radiation.

Furthermore, the infrared therapy can be operated at lower temperatures, from 40 to 55 degrees Celsius, where it’s much lower than the traditional saunas!

He mentioned that his mother, Virginia is enjoying the benefit of the infrared therapy, as it can be used to treat his mother’s arthritis (Virginia, you should be proud to have such a filial child). In addition, it’s good for reduce the pain and stiffness, reduction in fatigue as well!

PS: I’m glad Jordan love Finland and his new home, all the best with your career and have a nice living life.

We all have nose (What the crap am I talking about?! lol) However, do you know that the nostrils have different function for breathe in and breath out process?

For your information, our right nostril represents the sun (Not the Mars) while the left nostril represents the moon (Definitely not the Venus).

So, every time when you’re having headache and your head is about to blow off, you can try to calm down yourself by trying to close your right nostril with your right thumb. Then, use your left nostril to breath for over 5 minutes. Believe it or not, the bl**dy headache will be gone for good!

You feeling exhausted after a long daily work? Well, you can try to close your left nostril and breathe through your right nostril for about 5 minutes. You will feel refresh again afterward!

Here are the facts about the right and left nostrils:

Right nostril: It belongs to heat and men are usually breathed with right nostril (That’s why we get angry most of the time!)

Left nostril: It belongs to cold and women breathe with the left nostril frequently (Now, you know why women can get calm down all the time!)

Just try the above methods and tell me how do feel about it…

Human beings love to watch beautiful things and it’s natural law for us to attract with the gorgeous scenery. Hence, many of the people, especially those people that have the obesity problem already tried the best to loss away the fat/adipose, but have eventually failed to do so!

A few hours ago, after having my launch, I still have some time left. Therefore, I used the internet to surf and hope to find some interesting stuff on it. During the surfing process, I was attracted with a blog, lap band blog. To be honest, when I saw the name for the very first time, I thought it is some kind of pop singing band (Please forgive my naïve! lol). However, after I’ve clicked on it and read the articles, I discovered another shocking and even more interesting stuffs than music!

I’ve heard many weight loss methods before, but I swear to god that I haven’t know this lap band method until now! For those that didn’t know what this lap band is, lap band is a short form of “Laparoscopic adjustable gastric band”, where it is a restrictive device that made out of Silastic (A type of plastic that have not harm with the internal body tissues).

In order to use this device, it has to be placed into our gastric (right at the top of stomach) through the Laparoscopic surgery, or also known as “minimally invasive surgery (MIS)”. Dr. Dag Hallberg, a bariatric surgeon from Sweden in 1985, invented this lap band. It’s claimed the least invasive weight loss surgery currently available. The best part of this lap band is it can be adjusted; either you want the band to be loosened or tightened.

By using this way, the person can easily control his/her diet, and maintain the body weight at the optimal level!

Do you want to know more about the lap band? Then, please spend a few minutes and read on the lap band history. I’m sure you’ll know it better after you’ve finished reading the articles!

Life in 21st century is very different from the past, where most of the people in nowadays facing many unpredictable changes from time to time. We are mostly spending our times working, working and working from day to night. The even worst thing is some of them didn’t have time for rest/sleep!

The dermatologists have discovered that our skin starting to aging in our mid-20s. After we’ve reached age 40 or above, the production of collagen becoming 50% slower than teenager. Dead skin cells cannot shed away instantly and it will cause some serious problems, such as:

1. Hideous wrinkles (I think most of us didn’t love to see those wrinkles wide spreading on our faces or skins!);
2. Dry skin;
3. Dark cycle eyes;
4. Puffy eyes.

By the way, do you know that over hundred millions of people have dark circle eyes worldwide? Believe it or not, the opticians and dermatologists found out that the dark circles eyes usually occur in the childhood (Unfortunately, my girlfriend is also the victim of this problem as well!).

There are many causes of the dark circles eyes:

• Broken blood vessels under eyes;
• Inflammation;
• Thinning of skin around eyes due to the loss of collagen around your eyes;
• The radiation from the ultraviolet-ray from the sunlight.

I, myself, have the puffy eyes problem. Well, if you cannot imagine what the puffy eyes look like, it seems like someone had just punched on both your eyes, but without the bruises! In order to get the rid of these puffy eyes, I always dip some cotton wool pads in ice-cold rose water and apply them on my eyes for 10 minutes, before I’m heading to bed (Or, you can try the teabags method if you want!)

Everyday, before we’re going to work, my girlfriend applies the dark circles eye cream, while I will put on the puffy eyes cream. For those of you that didn’t have much time in your daily life, these skin products are considering the best solution to keep all the problems away…

Natural Dengue Fever Remedy!

February 11th 2009 10:53
Hi everyone!

Am so sorry that am SOOOOO down with flu now.... *sob*

Am gonna try the last resort, the pineapple!

Anyway, this post isn't about flu, it is about dengue. Am not sure whether this has been up before, but I have got a detailed email about a natural dengue fever remedy, especially when you first detect it and the victim is yet to be sent to the hospital

this is particularly useful for tropical countries.

Extracted from email
I would like to share this interesting discovery from a classmate's son who has just recovered from dengue fever. Apparently, his son was in the critical stage at the ICU when his blood platelet count drops to 15 after 15 liters of blood transfusion.

His father was so worried that he seeks another friend's recommendation and his son was saved. He confessed to me that he gave his son raw juice of the papaya leaves. From a platelet count of 45 after 20 liters of blood transfusion, and after drinking the raw papaya leaf juice, his platelet count jumps instantly to 135. Even the doctors and nurses were surprised. After the second day he was discharged. So he asked me to pass this good news around.

Accordingly it is raw papaya leaves, 2pcs just cleaned and pound and squeeze with filter cloth. You will only get one tablespoon per leaf. So two tablespoon per serving once a day. Do not boil or cook or rinse with hot water, it will lose its strength. Only the leafy part and no stem or sap. It is very bitter and you have to swallow it like "Wong Low Kat (a chinese herb drink)". But it works.

*Papaya Juice - Cure for Dengue*

You may have heard this elsewhere but if not I am glad to inform you that papaya juice is a natural cure for dengue fever. As dengue fever is rampant now, I think it's good to share this with all.

A friend of mine had dengue last year. It was a very serious situation for her as her platelet count had dropped to 28,000 after 3 days in hospital and water has started to fill up her lung. She had difficulty in breathing. She was only 32-year old. Doctor says there's no cure for dengue. We just have to wait for her body immune system to build up resistance against dengue and fight its own battle. She already had 2 blood transfusion and all of us were praying very hard as her platelet continued to drop since the first day she was admitted.

Fortunately her mother-in-law heard that papaya juice would help to reduce the fever and got some papaya leaves, pounded them and squeeze the juice out for her. The next day, her platelet count started to increase, her fever subside. We continued to feed her with papaya juice and she recovered after 3 days!!!

Amazing but it's true. It's believed one's body would be overheated when one is down with dengue and that also caused the patient to have fever papaya juice has cooling effect. Thus, it helps to reduce the level of heat in one's body, thus the fever will go away. I found that it's also good when one is having sore throat or suffering from heat.

Please spread the news about this as lately there are many dengue cases. It's great if such natural cure could help to ease the sufferings of dengue patients.

Furthermore it's so easily available.
Blend them and squeeze the juice! It's simple and miraculously effective!!

As the human being’s civilization advancing day after day, there are many people, especially the younger generation starting to have the vision related problems. According to the latest study, 101 million of the U.S citizens are wearing glasses or contact lenses, due to the assorted vision matters. This means that about 33% of the U.S citizens won’t able see the things clearly, without the aid of glasses or contact lenses!

Honestly, it sounds horrible and terrify to me, when I found out I’ve to wear the glasses in my younger age. As we all know, those glasses in 80’s are totally big, heavy and hideous. For this reason, I was always being teased as the “Book worm specky” in my class (Believe me, this is the worst nightmare that I ever have and it has haunted me for couple of years!)

Thanks to the advancement of technology, I finally can throw the ugly glasses away and put on the contact lenses. Honestly, I’ve tried several contact lenses, and I must say that Acuvue contact lenses are my first choice!

By the way, do you know what “Bifocals” is? For your information, bifocals are the eyeglasses whose corrective lenses contain regions with two distinct optical powers. Most of the time, bifocals are mainly prescribed to people with presbyopia. The word, “Presbyopia” is used to describe the condition, where the eye exhibits a progressively diminished ability to focus on near objects, especially when the people starting to aging. The presbyopia become worsening due to the aging problem and most people started to notice it around the ages of 40-50 (Both of my parents were the victims of this presbyopia!). In order to overcome this problem, the people that have presbyopia have to wear the bifocals, where it can help to fix the user’s vision.

If you’re the party animals (like me) or just want to light up the boring weekdays, then you might consider to change your ordinary contact lenses into the freshlook colored contacts. I’m sure that it will leave a deep impact to everyone when they look into your eyes!

Remember, once you’ve being diagnosed by the optician that you have to put on a glasses or contact lenses, then you should follow their instruction. Take their advice, as it only benefit you in the end!

Everyone Can Has The Dream Kitchen

February 6th 2009 16:14
Cathy, a friend of mine, asked me this question, “Wilson, where you mostly spending your time when you at home?” Hmm…, you know what, I haven’t think about this matter before…

“I might say kitchen, as I’m love to cook during my free time.” I answered Cathy’s question a few seconds afterward.

Ok, I didn’t say that I’m a top notch chef like Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay, but I still have the ability to please my guests that dropped me a visit with my healthy and delicious meals!

To be honest, I spent over thousands of dollars renovate my house’s kitchen last year (three months before the financial crisis) and I quite satisfied with it. My kitchen is well-designed with the latest combination of saffron yellow and titan blue colors, where I’m a big fan of the yellow and blue. My kitchen's design almost has the same pattern like the kitchen just like the below picture, but it's a little bit different with the choice of colors!

I personally love my kitchen, as it is based on the latest modern kitchen designs. With all the modern kitchen countertops, cabinets (The yellow-in-color cabinets look so fine to me lol) and the glossy steel, black granite and white ceramic kitchen sinks, I don’t even mind to spend my whole weekend cooking inside this incredible kitchen!

Sometimes, we cannot evaluate the value of one thing, if you’re obsessed about it. You can say I’m a crazy dude wasting thousands of dollars renovated the kitchen, but I got what I want in the end – my dream kitchen.

First Aid Can Be The Lifesaver!

February 5th 2009 08:30
Life is full with many unexpected events and that is why we should always prepare for the worse. Although the occurrence of accidents at home are far lower than at workplace, but it doesn’t mean that you can totally neglect on it!

Do you know that over hundreds of thousands of people are being seriously injured or die in home accidents? According to the autopsy, up to 75% of those deaths could be highly prevented, if there are any first aid products inside the home and was given to the injured person on time!

For using the emergency first aid, you don’t have to be a professional medical trainer, since it’s not based on medical knowledge but merely on simple sense decision making. The common sense and knowledge of emergency first aid are the main key elements of being able to give first aid. After all, the first aid kit doesn’t waste you too much of space and it can be placed in any place that you think it’s suitable.

Instead of buying the medical equipment UK in the corner shop of street, it’s better to research your own requirements and buy the essential first aid products. There’s nothing to lose when you have extra bandage, face shields or eyewash in the first aid kit, isn’t it?

Always remember that the first aid can be the lifesaver when you need it the most!

Hay fever, or it also known as “allergic rhinitis”, is mainly caused by pollens of specific seasonal plants and dust particles to people that allergic to these types of substances.
Those people that suffered from hay fever will know the time, where the first pollen starts falling off from the trees or grasses!

If you’re one of the hay fever sufferers, then you might be starting to live in suffer, when the spring is approaching. In order to reduce your suffer; I have a few natural remedies that you can try out:

Drink the honey tea that has been boiled with minced grapefruit and lemon. You should drink it at least three times a day!

You can also boil chamomile in plain water, then inhale the fumes from the water when it’s boiling. This can stop the nose’s irritation.

Furthermore, you might avoid going out in the early morning, as the pollens in this moment is rather higher than afternoon and night.

In addition, you should not use the nasal spray continuously, as it will increase the congestion of nose!

“Oh My God! My cholesterol level is rising up like rocket. Can anyone help me, pretty please?”
“Ok, can you please tell me, what are your daily meals?”

“Hmm…, give me a minute! Well, I love all those fast foods, such as cheeseburgers, French fries, fried chicken, peanut butter and much more…”

To all the beloved readers, if you think that you have the same eating habit like the above person, then you’re already a footstep closer to the door of heaven (or hell?)!

According to the U.S FDA latest national nutrition and health surveys, most of the U.S adults intake 357mg of cholesterol and it’s 12 percent more than the recommended level, 300mg per day!

For your information, 67% of the heart related diseases are mainly cause by the high cholesterol level. So, it’s better to change your unhealthy eating habits today, if you do care about your health!

Here are some suggestions for you:

Eat one bowl of oatmeal as the breakfast
If you continue to eat oatmeal for your breakfast, then your cholesterol level will at least drop 10 percent or even more. Oatmeal is rich with soluble and non-soluble fibers, where it prevents the bad cholesterol from being absorbed during digestion. As a result, it will reduce the high cholesterol in the end!

A bowl of beans for lunch
Same with the oatmeal, if you only eat a bowl of beans for the consecutive 8 weeks, then your high cholesterol level will decrease more than 20 percent (I have no problem for it, as green pea is my favorite lol).

Choose olive oil as you daily cooking oil
Since olive oil can efficiently reduce the bad cholesterol and raise up the good cholesterol level, thus it’s an ideal choice to use it to cook the daily meals!

Eat an apple a day

The same old saying, “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away!” Apple is rich in pectin, and it can help lowering the high cholesterol.

Drink a cup of ginger tea twice a week
For your information, the ginger contains Triazene phenol, where it can reduce the Triglyceride for over 27 percent and 33 percent for the bad cholesterol!

Drink at least a cup of soybean everyday
The FDA has approved that soybean has the ability to lower the bad cholesterol and prevent heart related diseases.

Consume walnuts and almonds frequently

These two types of nuts have been recognized as the “Nemesis” of bad cholesterol (The almond is also good for preventing the Alzheimer’s disease too)!

That’s for today, eat well and stay healthy all the time…
