People are always taken some medicines for some purpose. In some cases, many postmenopausal women have had taken a combined estrogen and progestin hormone replacement therapy. They didn’t know that this medicine will increase their risk of developing progestin-accelerated breast tumors.
Lately, a research team from the University of Missouri have accidentally found that curcumin, which is a popular Indian spice (It can be found on the turmeric root), have the ability to reduce the cancer risk for women, especially for those who exposed to hormone replacement therapy for a long period!
Each year, there are more than 120 million women in worldwide use hormone replacement therapy. It main purpose is to treat the menopause’s symptoms. However, when a woman is exposed herself with the hormone replacement therapy continuously, then she might have the risk of getting breast cancer. In this case, the curcumin is able to protect the woman from the further progestin-accelerated breast tumors!
Next time, when you’re cooking, especially the Asian spicy foods, don’t forget to put some turmeric powder into it!
