Fill your health with colours: True Blue

December 14th 2006 13:15
Extracted from OH! Magazine

Blue gives the relaxing and calming colour, and it plays an important role, particularly at night to help us get ready for a restful sleep. Blue foods have a significant connection with the respiratory system. They help encourage oxygen intake to alleviate fatigue, throat problems, fevers, inflammations, stings, itchiness and headaches.

Some true blues includes:
- Sea vegetables
- Blueberries
- Prunes
- Blue plums

G' morning ladies!

Hi katyzzz,

Yes they are very good brain foods. Especially I love the sea vegetables. They are really yummy with soup! yum yum!

Hi Lauren,

Oh how I envy you loads of munching away those aussie blueberries! Here you can hardly see any fresh ones. I'd have to look for alternatives now... sigh.

Thank you so much for dropping by!

The rest of the colour food articles will be out soon. ^_^

Have a great weekend!

Jessica, blue is my favourite colour... I make my children eat one of each colour every day... *lol*

Hi Lilla!

Wow, that's truly great!

Recently I was diagnosed of low antioxidants in my body, (and ha... I am actually writer for health BLOGs...) so I too am doing my best to take 1 or 2 coloured fruits and vegetables a meal a day. ^_^

Usually I go for the greens and reds as they are easier to find here, but I'll take a trip for blues, orange and indigos next week.

Great to see you around, and thank you so much for dropping by. ^_^
