A Better World without Cancer?

Cancer has been a very common disease, and it’s still the number one killing disease that caused more than millions of death in worldwide every year.

However, if someone is telling you that one in three of us will be diagnosed with cancer during our lifetime, would you believe of what he/she said?

The cancer is mostly happening on older people, but it might strike on us anytime without any warning!

The even worse thing is some of the cancer, such as breast cancer seems to become more common in the female, especially on the women below 40s! The cases of lung cancer and esophageal cancers are significantly dropped over the past few years, due to the reduction of smokers! It’s a very encouraging statistic.


Thanks to the advanced cancer treatments, the death rate is steadily decreasing year after year.

I’m sure in the near future, cancer won’t be labeled as the “incurable disease” anymore!

The New Hope for Anti-HIV and Anti-cancer is On the Way!

AIDS and cancers are the two biggest uncured diseases who always threatening human race in present days. However, these two diseases might become a history, as the Malaysian researchers claimed to discover the antidotes!

The anti-HIV drug is given name as “Calanolide”, is derived from the Bintangor or Calophyllum tree is under the final stages of development.

Rainforest have always being considered as the “green germ”, as many traditional medicines have been found inside the rainforests. However, the sadness thing is the Brazilian Amazon and Indonesia rainforests have been quickly wiped out more than 120,000 square miles in the past decade! If this situation continues, then our hope on finding the cure for the uncured diseases might turn into bubble!


According to Tan Sri Dr. George Chan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, Malaysia, the Calonide A samples have been sent to the National Cancer Institute of United States for testing purpose.

By the launching of Calonide A, more HIV and cancer patients might be able to have a normal healthy life afterward…

Unveil the Truth of Cancer Spreading inside the Patient’s Brain!

Have you ever wondered, how the cancer spreading inside a patient’s brain? Sometimes, it’s hard to imagine, unless there is a detailed explanation from the experts.

Recently, the oncologists have been unveiled the mask of the cancer, and shown it the first time to public on how cancer spreading to the brain and starting to grow inside it!

According to the study of Oxford University, the metastatic cancer cells use to anchor themselves to blood vessels in the brain. For your information, metastasis is happening when cancer starting to break out from a tumor and spreads to other parts of the body, including brain. That’s why cancer is considered as fatal in most cases!



Amongst the metastases, brain metastases are the most common malignant tumor of the central nervous system. Once the cancer have spreading inside the brain, then the longest survival times for the patient is in within 3 months to 12 months!

In order to stop the cancer cells from spreading and growing in the patient’s brain, researchers have tried their best seeking the effective ways to inhibit the metastasis process!

No New Cancer Cure Discovered at Major Cancer Conference!

The world’s largest cancer conference has been held on 7th to 8th June 2009. Although there are some progress happening in the conference, but it’s ended up with no new cure for the cancer treatment!

Many oncologists from all around the world have been tried their best to invent the vaccine and medicine, where the main purpose is helping the cancer patients live longer and feel better!

Cancer has becoming the biggest threat for the entire human races, especially in this 21st century! There are more and more people who being diagnosed with various types of cancers everyday. According to the United States latest survey, one out of three U.S. citizens will have the risk of getting cancer in any form!

In order to overcome the threatening of cancer, oncologists have invented a new medicine named, BSI-201. This new cancer medicine claimed to extend cancer patients’ life, from the shortest 3 months to 2 years!

Unfortunately, the medicine didn’t work forever and the cancer patient might meet the death afterward…

The fight against cancer is a very long and hard journey. Hence, the cancer patient must have tougher and stronger will, as it helps the patient to live much longer.

Gene Might Be the Crucial Factor Inhibits the Happening of Cancer!

Life is supposed to be blessed with health, as the life without a healthy body is torturing, no matter you have unlimited wealth or fortune pilling up in the banks!

The good news is the scientists from the University of Manchester claimed that they have found a new way of killing tumors. They identified a key gene, which is appearing to play an important role in the normal process of cell division in human’s body.

The main reason why cancer can be spreading out like bushfire, as it divides in an uncontrolled way as any other body’s cells did!

In this case, the Manchester team has discovered a protein in our cells named, “Bub 1” (Not Bug 1! lol). The Bub 1 is playing the role for normal cell division to take place. Once the gene that generates Bub 1 is out of control, then the cells are unable to divide accordingly!

They said that Bub 1 is a very specific type of enzyme, where is controlling the several processes during the cell division. By switching off the Bub 1, it means to stop the cancer cells from spreading and growing in the patient’s body as well!

Hopefully, the research team might be able to come out with some breakthrough with the Bub 1 in the near future.

Antibody DTA-1 Might Be The Big Helper To Reject Cancer!

In the basic science concept, we believe that the human immune system has the ability to destroy contagious cancer cells. As a result, there are tons of cancers vaccines have been developed and hope it will be able to cure the cancerous cells. The truth is, the immune system is quite smart and they didn’t seem to take on the cancers vaccines bait at all!

Adam D.Cohen, the oncologist at Fox Chase, has recently discovered that the DTA-1 antibody has the power to impair regulatory T cells and wake up the immune system to against the cancerous cells!

Talking about DTA-1, its actually an antibody, which mainly designed to stimulate the glucocorticoid-induced tumor necrosis factor receptor (GITR). Cohen also said that DTA-1 could be used to help the immune system against the tumor cells and wipe out the bad cancerous cells.

Red Alert to all Red Meat Eaters!

I read a research from the local website and found out a shocking truth about the red meat. The studies have shown that the great Aussie barbecue (BBQ) could killing you softly with its carcinogens substances!

For those that love barbecuing the red meat, you should better watch out, as it has been identified as the main causes of most cancers! Beside that, the happening rate of heart attacks is higher among the red meat eaters.



The experts advised us to eat white meat (poultry and fish) regularly than red meats, as white meat is a lot healthier and the eaters have less chance of getting cancers.

However, the experts said it’s better to change our diet into the healthier plant-based diet slowly.

Frankincense Oil: The Man’s Treasure

First of all, don’t misread it. It’s not Frankenstein, but “Frankincense Oil”! Frankincense oil is an herb that found in Somalia. It claims has the ability to kill off bladder cancer cells.

Once its has been recognized as the remedy for bladder cancer, Frankincense oil has been widely used all across the world.

Here are some of the little facts of bladder cancer:

1. If you’re a man, then you’ll have 200% chance of getting bladder cancer than a woman!
2. The bladder cancer is the fourth most common type of cancer in United States!
3. It’s the seventh most common cause of death in United Kingdom!



A group of researchers from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Oklahoma City VA Medical Center has pointed out that the Frankincense oil is effectively killing the bladder cancer cells and inhibits the spreading of the cancerous bladder cells.

The great part about Frankincense oil is it relatively much cheaper than any other therapy for bladder cancer patients. Thus, it can be an alternative therapy for those that cannot afford the expensive medical bills!
