Cervical cancer has been rapidly found in many Asian women in the 21st era and it has become the 2nd most common cancer besides breast cancer. However there are still many out there who doesn’t understand, or even aware what cervical cancer is. Most of them would only know up till the knowledge of sis growth in the womb or even just 'womb cancer'.
But what is cervical cancer and where is cervix?
Cervix locates at the lower part of the womb. It is also known as the neck of the womb. In childbirth, the cervix stretches to allow the baby to pass down into the birth canal (vagina).
The cervix has many functions, including producing some of the moistness that helps lubricate the vagina and producing the mucus that helps sperm travel up the fallopian tube in an effort to fertilise an egg from the ovary.
What is Cervical Cancer?
The cervix is made up of millions of tiny cells. Sometimes, changes occur and abnormal cells develop, known as cervical dysplasia or cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN).
CIN can be graded into CIN I, CIN II and CIN III. These are not cancerous. However, if left untreated, these cells may develop into cancer. With regular Pap tests, these erly changes can be detected and treated before cancer has a chance to develop.
There are two main types of cervical cancer. The most common type starts in the skin-like cells of the cervix (the squamous cells) and is called squamous cell carcinoma. Less common and more difficult to detect is a type of cervical cancer that starts in the glandular cells and known as adenocarcinoma.
Personal Note:
The next few posts I will post more about cervical cancer, as the article I have found is too long to squeeze into one post. However, bear in mind whatever abnormal growth occurs into cancerous stage all starts from the lifestyle we have. It could be lack of exercise, improper food or unbalanced food intake to even the hygiene of our environment. So stay tuned to read more about cervical cancer.

In fact. The reports of having cervical cancer in Malaysia (since I am here at the moment), is increasing, almost as much as breast cancer patients.
Yesterday I found out my friend here, whom I knew for many years, is diagnosed with cervical cancer as well.
If I have more reports and references about cervical cancer I will let you know.
Thanks for dropping by

...I have a feeling that the increase in this type of cancer has something to do with either one of two factors... something in the diet has changed. Perhaps hormones added to intense farmed meat (antibiotics or some such thing). Or the chemicals used to process womens products has shifted to cheaper derivatives or brands... this same shift recently cased much increases in breast cancer here, due to cheaper deodrant ingredients... these type of things... they are all so connect.
Interesting article,

You are quite right in both areas. Animal fat may / fish fat of certain types may contain some nutrients, such as omega as an example, but the fact that the use of animal fat and chemical to produce cheap products like fragrance and perfumed talcums for instance may cause such problems.
On the diet wise, I think there are lesser and lesser women who exercise of have work that relates to it, and with the "pampering of products" they have everyday, even as simple as sun screen, would enhance the threats of having cancerous cells popping up in our body.
So wonderful to see you popping by.
Have a blessed day
