Fill Your health with colours: Introduction
December 9th 2006 04:35
"Oh you look as white as chalk...."
Feeling a little off colour yourself, especially when your friends and love ones realise that too? Well not to worry, there is a way to get back in the pink of health with one of the latest diets around, which is called the "Colour Diet" I just got this from a local magazine called "OK!". Although this magazine is more onto celebrities, but this segment was interesting to share with everyone as this is how the celebrities do.
I will be posting each coloured small post individually so that you won't get clogged reading all in one post.
Extracted and compiled from OK! 2006
Research has shown that eating coloured foods not only helps us fight disease, but lose weight as well because a rainbow of doiet ensures that we consume the nutrients that our body needs. Going by pure logic, if you're eating all the nutrients your body needs, you will feel satisfied and won't tend to over eat. Now isn't that nice?
But before you jump for joy, by coloured foods is actually coloured vegetables and not artificially coloured ice cream and candy. Some researches even say we are drawn to certain foods in a supermarket because our bodies are signalling that we need the nutrients of that particular food. Does this mean our body needs all tha chocolate and pastries? Well... not quite sure. And although we can't quite recall when we wre ever attracted to the vegetable section of a store, at least now we can sound informed and tell our mothers it's not enough to eat just our greens!
The plan is to eat five or more services of rainbow coloured fruit and vegetables a day; it's a sure - fire way of finding a big pot of good health at the end of the rainbow. And if you think it's not a legitimate diet unless a celebrity is on it, not to worry - Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera are already busy with their food colour palates!
Isn't this interesting? I will be posting the rest of the article in smaller portions for everyone to enjoy on what are the best coloured vegetable and fruits that works great for you.
Stay tuned!

This article is just extracted and compiled from the recent article I read.
However, it IS important to have enough coloured fruits and vegetables to enhance our body's antioxidents. Yesterday I went for a health screen test and my antioxident levels are still way much lower than the optimum level. It's interesting finding and I guess I haven't been eating properly for the past month and I believe I need to start stocking up my fridge with healthy fruits and vegetables again. ^_^
