Don't Whipped Me with Celery Stick!

Honestly, I have a terrible feeling, each time I look on the celery sticks!

Why? When I'm still a 4-year-old boy, I remembered very clearly that I'm eating the delicious stuffed celery sticks. In that moment, my cousin was suddenly awing me at the back! I was afraid and got choked instantly! My mother quickly rushed me to the nearest clinic and thank goodness, I was still alive after that horrible incident...

Although I'm now have a phobia with Celery, but I still want to recommend you all about the benefits of eating this vegetable! For your information, celery stick is a vegetable that belongs to the parsley family, where it has an edible stalks.




Celery stick has a very pleasant odor, where it's suitable as a main ingredients in salads, soups or stews!

For the diabetics, celery leaves are good for control and decrease the high blood sugar level. Thus, it's an essential natural supplementary for the diabetics.

According to the research, 1 cup (120 grams) of celery can provide nearly 45% daily needed of Vitamin K! Hence, celery stick is best known as the King of Vitamin K as well.

Vitamin B6
Molybdenum

Hi Wilson - I have never been a big celery fan - I always thought it had as much benefit as iceberg lettuce but this has changed my opinion - I will pick it up and have with dips and stuff but now I may use it in some cooking too. Thanks for the health info.

Besides all the goodness in celery that you have mentioned, I love munching on it because it is tasty, can be used as a complement to a dip, and most of all , doesn't put on weight.

Pity you can't still eat it Wilson.

How about celery cubes, Wilson?

I used to hate celery... but formed a liking to it like the last 3 years... don't ask me why... age changes, liking changes?? *shrug*

Thank you for those tips. What I love is to dip them in peanut butter... yea... weird... but it taste yummy...

Hope you will go through your phobia and enjoy this delicious nutritious vegetable.

Janet, yeah and it taste ever fresher and tasty than chewing gum, isn't it?

PS: It's OK, Janet. At least, I can still munch the carrots! lol

Jessicca: Talking about dipping the celery with peanut butter, I used to do it when I was a child too! Love the taste...
