Fill Your health with colours: Red Rush

December 9th 2006 05:41
Extracted from OK! 2006

RED It's the colour of courage, strength and confidence. So if you want to build your immune system, remove toxins, feel motivated and energised, get in the red! They also help with memory functions, lower the risk of some cancers, and benefit the heart.

Taking extra red plant food can even lessen depresion and a great cure for anaemia and blood disorders.

So, still into reds, you can do by going east on the red meat and load up on these reds:
- Tomatoes
- Red cabbage
- Red apples
- Red grapes
- Pomegranates
- Watermelon
- Raspberries
- Strawberries
- Red chilles and capsicum
- Red onions
- Red grapefruit
- Cherries
- Beetroot
- Radishes
- Rhubarb

Ah... So pomegranites is what the third photo is. I was wondering about it since I haven't tried it yet. I eat a fair few of those fruits and veges in the list, which reminds me that it's cherry season again. ^^

On some other note, I wonder why they call it red cabbage when it's purple, and all the stains it leaves are purple.

Hi sword!

Glad to see you around! ^_^

I too hasn't taste pomegranites yet but I saw some available at the wet market. Currently I've stocked up red cabbage, apples, celery and bananas. So probably I'll look into that fruit next round. ^_^

I too always wondered why they called it red cabbage... even the juice is purple. But I think red cabbage sounds nicer than purple cabbage?
