Create a safe haven for home – clean locale
August 20th 2007 07:08
So, after knowing some basic tips of cleaning and knowing more about mites, there are some pretty interesting suggestions I found from Oh! Health Malaysia to reduce potential mould or microbe infesting and reducing air pollution in our homes.
Select a clean locale
This is good for those who have the ability to choose where they really want to live, or at least, nearest to what an idle place to stay.
Site selection should be your utmost consideration because if the outdoor air quality is poor, then the indoor air quality will be poor also. It is possible to install filtration equipment to clean all of the air indoors, but this can be expensive; more expensive than owning a more air friendly environment (again… if you can afford it)
While filtration may be necessary in some instances, especially countries which frequently suffers haze pollution, it is often easier to select your home with care in an unpolluted area in the first place.
If you have a choice, do choose a location far from traffic-heavy highways, factories emitting smoke or high-density population, which I know in many countries, such as Malaysia, far away suburbs will equal to long hours of traffic jam and plenty of tolls to pay. Yet at the end of the day, choosing between convenience and health is your own decision.

You really do have a lovely banner. That room looks so fresh and lovely.
Must get on with the vacuuming again.

I bump into this page with beautiful indoor snapshots and I found this nice peaceful and clean living room. ^_^
Glad you loved the banner and keep up with your good work of vacuuming.
I am currently starting to pack and you'd be horrified how much dust it has accumulated in those hidden areas and the more I tried to pack up, the dustier it becomes... and I ended up sleeping late because I had to mop the room before I go to bed.
Thank you so much for stopping by and supporting.
Have a blessed day!

I love the clean, airy feel of this place ... it looks like somewhere I could easily live.
So true : Air is so important, and my doors and windows are always open - especially when it's raining! Because it is the tropics, it is like living in a lean-to, for me that spells health on a major scale... although I recently found out that the plasterboard used in new homes here in Australia all contain formaldehyde, which leaches into the air for up to nine years!
It's a good thing then that my doors and windows are always open, isn't it?
Lotsa Hugs
