First of all, for those who didn’t know what’s the definition of ‘Oxidative Stress’, it is a condition that normally occurs, when the available supply of the body’s antioxidants is inadequate to neutralize the dangerous free radicals out from our body! As a result, the body might have a massive cell damage, tissue breakdown or irregular immune system.
The oxidative stress had already being known as one of the main causes of Down’s syndrome.
Diana Bianchi, the team leader and researcher at Tufts Medical Center, Boston have mentioned that Down ’s syndrome might be happened on the fetus, if the oxidative stress in the mother’s body is too high!
It’s important to keep the oxidative stress in the minimal level, especially the pregnant women. In this case, they’re advised to intake foods that rich with antioxidants, such as green tea, berries, pomegranate, grape, parsley, ginger, apricots, prunes, soybeans, flax seeds, oats, cinnamon and much more.
