Kiss Goodbye to the Ugly Bald Head!

July 9th 2009 06:16
Sometimes, life can be very harsh, as there are many things, which we cannot control or expect in our daily life. As a human being, isn’t this mean we should be treating equally by anyone else? Why so many people whom being treated like a trash, due to their unattractive appearance?

I’ve been a target of the nuisance sarcasm, since I was a child. I’d experienced many personal insults from the classmates and neighbors, due to the ugly appearance! I knew the pain of how we’re being treated like a freak, especially when it happened in the public places!

Talking about the humiliation, it also happened on Yvette, my former colleagues who still working in the local social worker center (Note: I thought I’ve told you before, where I’ve been a social worker for a period in the previous post). When I met her for the very first time, I sensed she’s a very lovely and gorgeous woman. She’d a fantastic personality: Loving, caring and tolerance. These characteristics made her the top social worker in the center. Plus, she’s a very friendly person with humble attitude, many colleagues and clients love to be friend with her!

Things seem to be perfect, until after she’s get birth with a lovely baby boy on January 15th, 2009! During the postnatal period, her silky brown hair is starting to fall off. She thought it’s a normal condition, as some of her friends having this problem before. However, the hair fall problem is getting serious, as it fall more than fifty hairs everyday! After only two months, she’s nearly becoming half bald.

She was terrified and don’t know how to deal with it. She realized that people starting to talk on her postnatal baldness. Some of them even teasing on her and called her, “The baldness vulture”! Gosh, she’d the feeling, where she’s falling from the heaven into the hell, after hearing these words.

Since then, she’s starting to absence her work and didn’t want to go outside. Her husband, Nathan was worried about her health condition, as he assumed, if the condition keep going on, Yvette might be getting the Postnatal Depression (PND).

Hence, Nathan had dropped me a call on April 16th, 2009. He asked me, if I have any solution for Yvette. I said I would drop them a visit on the weekend to find out more about Yvette’s situation.

When I arrived at Yvette’s home, she didn’t come out to welcome me at all. Nathan said that Yvette had lost her confidence, due to the ugly baldness. I walked into the home and across the master bedroom; I saw Yvette is hidden in the corner of the bedroom! She’s covered her head with a white head kerchief. Honestly, she’s looked pale and sorrow, when I saw her.

I was flabbergasted for a second, as I didn’t expect that the baldness can turn into a disastrous problem. I went to Yvette and persuade her that I’m Wilson, her former colleague who had been a very close friend. I persuaded her to tell me the whole story.

She’s terribly upset with her current condition and depressed on everything she done in her daily life. I knew something is wrong with her, and I need to figure out the solution as soon as possible.

Hence, I told her that there’s a fast and permanent solution for her baldness, which is known as “hair transplant” method. She asked me, what the main purpose of hair transplant, as she never heard about it in her life!

Well, I explained to her slowly and clearly, that hair transplant is a safe surgical technique. It involves the moving skin process, which is containing hair follicles from one part of the body to balding parts.

She seems to be interested on my suggestion and decide to accept the challenge. I recommended her a famous hair transplant doctor, as it’s very important to have the experienced and professional doctor to handle this critical case.

After three days, she’s making an appointment with the doctor and undergone a hair transplant surgery after two weeks.

Yesterday, I received a phone call. Guess what, I heard the first word, “Thank you”, when I picked up the phone. It’s a call from Yvette and she told me that she’d already recovered from the baldness trauma, and ready to face the daily tasks as usual. She was very appreciated my help, as without it, she won’t able to walk out from the depression. I heard she’s cried overjoyed over the phone…

I congratulated Yvette and hope she’ll live her life up and helping more people who needing the help.

Yvette, remember to go and spread out your love to everyone else. I blessed you all the best and it’s my pleasure to have you as a friend!

Wilson, it sounds like you are a very good friend. Yvette is lucky to have you.

About 6 years ago, I suffered from a miscarriage that threw my hormones out of whack. I started losing some hair and gaining weight. It was so traumatic and I can relate to her depression. What has worked for me is a big change in diet with a lot of extra vitamins. Especially Biotin, which is an amino acid that promotes healthy hair growth.

I hope that the transplant gets her the desired results, and please update us with her progress.

Wilson

I thought only teenagers made your hair fall out! Seriously though, I have never heard of someone having a baby and then becoming permanently bald. I thought you were about to say it was a temporary problem.

Good that you could help your friend out. Good on you.

This is a very sad thing to have happened. You know sometimes the hair can grow back, but it may take some time.

What's wrong with a wig? these look better on women than men, and I actually like bald headed men and have never objected.

People can be very cruel and this lady's predicament is dreadful. She needs the best possible skin specialists, beware others will give WRONG advice.

I wish her well and with you feel for her.

It is awful, but not the worst possible thing that can happen, everyone should always think of these things.

As for the cruel people around her they need putting in their places BIG TIME. Maybe they do not need to lose their hair to be ugly, they may already be, certainly their nastiness makes them very ugly indeed.

Natalina, although I didn't pregnant before (And, I will never get pregnant), but I realized how horrible the postnatal syndromes could be on a woman! I'm glad that you're able to recover from the imbalanced hormones.

Janet, everything is possible, especially in this wacky world, isn't it?

Katyzzz, you're absolutely have the points here. Why some people can be such a cruel person? Remember that there's a thing called, "Karma". Once you done bad things to other, then you'll get the effect from it pretty soon. It just the matter of time...

Natalina, Janet and Katyzzz, thanks for the comments. I'll keep you all update about Yvette's situation!
