My Mother’s Vericose Veins Story

June 30th 2009 05:38
Each person has his/her own untold story…

It’s been three years, since I worked as a high school counselor. Honestly, I must say that parents are over pampering their children, until some of them having “The Pampered Child Syndrome”! When this happened, it not only won’t help the children to live independently by themselves, but it put the children at the risk for serious social and physiological disabilities as well.

Honestly, those children who having the pampered child syndrome won’t appreciate everything what their parents have done to them! They’re keep complaining and nagging all day long. It’s a very serious situation, where it can be fixed within days or weeks! I’ve been encountered with several teenagers who have this syndrome before, and yep, it’s even more complicated than I could ever imagined.

I discovered a similarity on those teenagers, which they’re mostly ignored to their parents advices/words. Honestly, I felt sympathy for the teenagers and their parents, as both sides are suffering, due to the syndrome!

Talking about parent, my mum and dad have been my idol, since I was six-year-old. Since I was six, my mother had quit her previous accountant job and move to the rural area with my father.

At there, my mums have helped my dad in the farm. We all know that life, as a farmer isn’t easy (Honestly, it considered as one of the hardest job in the world, which is require ninety-nine percent perspiration).

However, my mum didn’t complaint about it, instead she always smiled, when she’s working in the farm.

After a long hour of working for over thirty years, the varicose veins starting to affect her life. For those that didn’t know about varicose veins, they’re veins that have become enlarged, discolored and tortuous. Her calves are fully covered with painful and itchy varicose veins.

Every time, when I backed to my hometown, I asked if her want to have varicose veins treatment at the nearest center, she will mostly refuse my requirement. Until one day, the varicose veins have started to affect her walking ability. She has no choice, but listens to my advice and went for treatment at westchester vein center. After a few time of treatments, she’d finally released herself from the suffering of varicose veins.

Frankly, my mum has been sacrificed too much for family and me. She deserved to have a better and healthier life, especially in her golden age!

I love you, mum.
