Pay Attention to Your Grey Hair!

September 1st 2009 11:47
It’s a normal scene that when we’re getting older, our hair will turn grey. However, if grey hairs starting to appear in early stage, such as in your teenager or early 20’s, you should pay attention on it!

In our hairs, there is a cell named ‘Melanocytes’. It produces the pigment in our hair, such as dark brown, brown, black, blonde, red and much more. Normally, hair will go grey, when the number of stem cells in hair follicles starting to decline into a minimal amount!

However, it the hair graying/whitening process happening in the early stage, you must keep your eyes on it. This might be caused by the instability stem cells mutation inside your hair. In addition, it also warned you about the early sign of the unexpected disease, such as tumor or cancer!

If you’re having the above problem, then you should go for a detailed body checkup as soon as possible. Like the old saying, “Prevention is better than cure!”

Some people look good with grey hair and others don't. I am not grey but tend to colour my hair to take out the grey bits.

It is good to know that grey hair can indicate other things other than looking old.

Good post, Wilson.

Isn't it interesting to know the fact that hair color did mean something important, especially for our health, Janet?

Honestly, if you want to dye your hair, is it better to choose the organic hair dyer, rather than the chemical ones!

Grey hairs looks good on some people but i KINDA AGREE WITH Wilson it is an alarming sings when starts crawling in your head so beside the causes mentioned in the article there are less serious causes like B-12 deficiency and thyroid disorders or sometime too much hydrogen peroxide building up this is especially true for blonde hair or lighter chemical dye fans..

Thanks Wilson for GREAT discussion

You're surely welcomed, Sam. Oh, if you're noticed that your friends' children are having grey hairs in a very young ages, then you should give a warning to them...
