Q My eye twitches suddenly every now and then. What’s causing these uncontrollable eye spasms?
A An eye twitch is usually harmless and rarely is a symptom of a muscle or nerve disorder. But there are some cases where eyelid twitching is usually accompanied or followed by other symptoms. The cause of involuntary eye twitch isn’t known but it is believed to be associated with fatigue, stress or caffeine. Try massaging the affected eyelid ti relieve the eye. To do this, move your index finger back and forth from the inner to the outer parts of the lid for approximately one minute. Use the same amount of pressure that you would on a computer keyboard.
