The Imbalanced of Obesity and Hunger Keep Rising High!
September 11th 2009 17:40
Honestly, I have no idea, why it could be a very huge different amongst the human beings.
According to the latest report from WHO, the number of people who suffering with hunger/starvation has been rapidly increased from 800 million in 2008 to 1.02 billion in March, 2009!
Did you know that in every minute, 17 people are dying of hunger, which 10 of them are children under 12 years old? Well, I watched the documentary film, “Home” directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, which is cost more than US$12 million. In the film, it stated that over 95 percent of the production corps are being used to feed the animals! In other hand, the other 16.7 percent of people in around the world is suffering with hunger day after day.
Looks on the above three-year-old Antonio's eyes, he seems really helpless and disappointed. Honestly, my tears fall down like razor blades, when I saw this photo for the first time...
Honestly, the hunger/starvation problem won’t be happened, if they used the 95 percent production corps to feed the hunger people! Most of the famines are only happened on the third world countries and it mostly takes places in Africa.
Meanwhile, over 40 percent of the world’s population is having the obesity problem and it normally occurred in the dense developed countries, such as United States, Europe and China!
Some countries are able to produce adequate corps for their citizens, but due to the economy profit, they’ve chosen to plant the biodiesel plantation, such as palm oil instead of wheat or rice! In this case, the country is sparked with high food prices and sometimes, it ended up with national food riots!
I was wondering, “Would this imbalanced of obesity and hunger is going to end in the near future...?”
