According to the study of Oxford University, the metastatic cancer cells use to anchor themselves to blood vessels in the brain. For your information, metastasis is happening when cancer starting to break out from a tumor and spreads to other parts of the body, including brain. That’s why cancer is considered as fatal in most cases!
Amongst the metastases, brain metastases are the most common malignant tumor of the central nervous system. Once the cancer have spreading inside the brain, then the longest survival times for the patient is in within 3 months to 12 months!
