We Should Not Discriminate the AIDS Patients!

July 22nd 2009 05:05
AIDS has been existing more than 28 years, but until now, there’s still no vaccine that can effectively curing the AIDS patients.

Frankly, I discovered that most of the people have no idea of how the AIDS being transmitted from the AIDS patient to another healthy person! They’re very ignorance, as they thought even by a simple handshake with the AIDS patients, they might being infected with HIV!

Come on, guys! We should try to be more mature in this case. Honestly, I’ve been volunteering myself as one of the volunteer workers at the AIDS care center when I was studying in college. In the center, I saw many AIDS patients were suffering, not for being ill, but they’re being lonely, as no family members or friends want to visit them at all!

I remembered there is a young little girl named “Rachel”. She’s an orphan and had been dumped away by his parents into the dumpsite, soon after birth! She always asked me a same question, “Uncle Wilson, why I didn’t have father and mother? I wish I can have a parent like my classmates did!” When I heard her confession, my tears fall off my face instantly…

Those children were innocent and we shouldn’t judge them based on their disease! Show your sympathy or compassion to them and let the little ones know, that there’s still many people loving them in this world…!

Wilson,

That's a heartbreaking story. One of my good friends has HIV and my best friend had a scare... luckily he tested negative. I think HIV testing is the one time you DON'T want to hear 'positive'.

It's really unfortunate that people are uneducated about it, but it's not really taught about in depth in schools. All you're told is that if you have sex without a condom, you're going to get AIDS. (Or might get AIDS; depending on who's teaching the class.)

I knew the fear and pain of your friends, Dianna. Honestly, when someone hear the word, "Positive" for HIV testing, the first thing that flashing on their mind would be ---> "How long would I survive?"...

In this moment, they need more caring and counseling than anyone else.

Just stay away from their bodily fluids and forget them in the 'LUV' stakes.

Nice advice, Katyzzz. Remember, the handshaking and hugging with AIDS patients WONT transmit HIV viruses to us!
