Alzheimer’s disease is considering one of the most common diseases in this 21st century. The number of the Alzheimer’s disease patients is skyrocketing year by year. Many medical field scientists and experts have tried to figure out the way to treat the Alzheimer’s disease. Well, some of the methods are somehow effective, while the other is useless.
A Russian neurophysiologist, Yuri Moskalenko is one of those who having a very strange idea. He thought that the Alzheimer’s disease could be treated by simply drilling a hole in their skull!
Yep, you didn’t read it wrongly, as he claimed it’s possible to cure the Alzheimer’s disease by this way.
Moskalenko said this method is known as Trepanation, where ancient doctors have used it to treat schizophrenia or migraine since thousand years ago.
The only problem is would anyone have the guts to undergo this skull drilling surgery?
