Yoga Helps Us to Relax Our Stress and Rejuvenate Our Mind

August 17th 2009 09:28
Guys, did you know that almost 80 percent of the lifestyles diseases are mainly caused by stress/tension?

You didn’t believe on it? Well, maybe the report from Dr. Michael T. Murray, one of the world’s leading authorities on natural medicine will shed some lights on you. According to Dr. Murray, daily stress is a very normal part of modern living. Although a little amount of stress is needed to push us into a higher level, however once the stress is over the limit, then it can burst off like a balloon and causes some serious mental problem to a person!

He described that every person has his/her unique way to dealing with stress. However, up to 56 percent of the people choose the improper ways, such as overeating, uncontrolled emotional outbursts, smoking, drinking alcohol and so on. Honestly, the above methods will NOT help us coping with stress, but it makes the problem becoming even worst!

He recommended us the a few efficient methods to manage the stress, which as:

1. Go find a useful technique that helps us to calm down our mind.
2. We should follow a healthy lifestyle, such as having a regular exercise.
3. Choose to stick with healthy eating habits.

Two years ago, I’ve starting to practice the Yoga. Talking about Yoga, many of my friends were misunderstood about it. They thought it’s a religious or spiritual exercise that can only be practiced by Hindus! Gosh, I was flabbergasted, when I heard it!

Well, it seems that many people didn’t really know the basic concept of Yoga. In this case, I’m happy to explain it for you here…

Yoga is a traditional physical and mental discipline, which is originating from India. Based on the history, Yoga has been existed since five thousand years ago at Indus Valley Civilization!

Believe it or not, Yoga is the only one exercise that being approved and certified by all religions in this world. This means, everyone is welcome to practicing Yoga, regardless of his/her religion.

To be honest, before the practicing of Yoga, I always very tired and listlessness (Well, now I knew it’s due to my diabetes). For overcoming the problem, I’ve decided to take short three months Yoga course.

After that, I spent some money and bought myself a set of Yoga equipment. Then, I started to practice the Yoga movements by myself. Frankly, it isn’t an easy task, but I managed to master the basic Yoga skills.

Today, I’ve learned many Yoga poses, such as The mountain (tadasana), the triangle (trikonasana), the tree (Vrksasana), the wheel (chakrasana) and much more. I mostly do these Yoga poses with my own yoga mats, as the mats help me from slipping on the floor!

For your information, there are over hundreds of Yoga poses. If you can master half of them, then you're eligible to become an experienced Yoga master.

Another reason why I loved Yoga is I practice the Yoga together with my girlfriend. By using the Yoga balls, we spin, twist and turn our bodies gently. We enjoyed the good moment together!

It might sounds crazy, but my friends and colleagues said that I’m looking more energetic and younger, so do with my girlfriend as well! They asked me, “What’s the secret of looking good and youth?” I answered, “Easy, just go and take a Yoga class!”

That’s all, if you want to wipe all the stresses away, then Yoga is definitely the perfect choice.
